Our LCM System is a cost-efficient and easily integrated solution for SARGASSUM seaweed and MARINE DEBRIS collection on water. One LCM provides a harvesting capacity of up to 150,000 lbs of fresh seaweed in one workday and generates more than 7 direct jobs. Tell us about your location: we will analyze it, prepare an operational plan and ensure a trained taskforce to effectively mitigate sargassum arrivals to your location while providing ongoing support.
At SOS Carbon, we are dedicated to deploying comprehensive and sustainable solutions for an integral sargassum management, from aquatic containment to responsible land processing. Our approach incorporates cutting-edge technologies and systems, including the use of innovative sargassum barriers, to effectively control and repurpose this seaweed. We prioritize cost-effective strategies that involve local coastal communities, ensuring their active participation in both the protection of marine ecosystems and the broader environmental health.
Our Sargassum Ocean Sequestration (SOS) of Carbon system has demonstrated the ability of sinking large volumes of sargassum in a highly efficient way. Looking to incorporate positive global environmental impact while having the opportunity for carbon and methane sequestration? Let's work together.
By collecting sargassum seaweed in the water, we ensure the least to no amount of external contaminants and provide fresh sargassum (as opposed to beached/decomposed). We have already attained the first and only environmental permit for sargassum collection on water in the Dominican Republic, as well as all necessary permits for export. We work with a local logistics companies to integrate shipping solutions.
Let us know the quantity you need, fresh or dried, and we'll take care of the rest.
We work with local laboratories and regional universities to provide quick and precise sargassum testing. Whether you are looking for nutrient levels, heavy metals content or other components, we are here to help and together expand our R&D .
The Terra & Marre foundation was created to educate and empower local communities about the environment and coastal ecosystems, and build their capabilities to fight Climate Change. This education prepares them toward formal employment opportunities which have a positive impact, such as mitigating mortalities in turtles and other marine species, avoid tourism loss, and avoid health problems due to sargassum inundations.
